I have been creating as long as I remember. It was not always on the canvas, but just simply creating something from what was available and where my imagination brought me, from tree huts, to self invented games, to artistic creations.

I believe creating something is our nature. I have not always listened to the call, especially at times when I was looking for thrills outside myself. I am so grateful to have found my way back to listen from within and that I can no longer ignore the call that moves my heart, that call to create.

In 1997 I graduated as an Art Therapist in the Netherlands (4 years full-time Higher Profession Education) and went to India in the same year. During my studies I learned the healing qualities of Art. For the last 20 years I have been working as a therapist in different settings, mental health, residential group homes for teenagers, refugees,  family treatment and sexual harm.

In India, I was introduced to spiritual awareness and meditation, where I’ve spend several Months in an Ashram. I have been focussing on self development and spiritual practise ever since, but it was through Flora Aube’s Art of Allowing courses that Art and Spirituality came together in such an inspiring and profound way that I now want to guide others on their soul journey through painting the Divine Feminine.

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”
